This applies to all of the Outlander items and any custom knits. You're welcome to place orders, as long as you know they will not be shipped until 2016.

~ I do however, have quite a few items that have already been knit up that are marked "ready to ship". Just put the words "ready to ship" in the search bar in my shop, and all those items will come up, or click on the shop section that says "Ready to Ship" to see those items. KnitzyBlonde Knitting Patterns!

My knitting patterns are now available on the Ravelry knitting site.  Clicking on the title of each pattern will take you to the Ravelry site where you can make your purchase and download your pdf.  Here is what is currently available:

Scottish Highlands Tam

I designed my Scottish Highlands Tam to be an exact replica of the Tams worn by the actors on the Starz TV Series, Outlander. It is a full Scottish Bonnet style tam that can be worn by men or women. This style of tam was customarily worn by 17th & 18 century Scots, and works well for SCA and historical reenactments. The pattern comes with 3 different size options to the knitting pattern, and a tutorial on how to hand felt the tam after knitting.

Claire's Hunt Capelet

I designed my Claire's Hunt Capelet to be as close to replica possible of the capelet that the Character Claire wears in episodes 4 & 5 of the Outlander TV series by Starz.  It is a small cape style shoulder covering, with tie front. The pattern includes options for 4 different sizes, because we can't all be Caitriona Balfe sized.  :)

I hope you have as much fun knitting these patterns as I did designing them! As always, if you have questions about the pattern, you can send me a message via RavelryFacebook, or via email.

Happy knitting!

Friday Night Concert in the Park

Had a lovely Friday evening out with my hubby, Guy, at a park in Oceanside.  We went to watch one of our favorite Scottish bands, Highland Way, enjoying the upbeat songs and hanging out with friends.  We took a picnic supper, and I of course took my knitting to keep my hands busy.

What am I knitting you ask?  This is a Scottish Tam (like Dougal's Tam from Outlander) that I sell in my Etsy shop, KnitzyBlonde.  After I am done knitting the tam, I hand wet felt it, shape and dry. Then it will be on its way to another happy customer!

We obviously had way too much fun (evidenced by the silly photos!) Nothing better that a picnic supper in the park.  Hope you are enjoying your summer!!
