I got a fairly early invite to Pinterest, so I got in before everyone figured out how really use it. I had a hunch however that it could help to market my Etsy business, so I invited friends and other Etsy sellers, and pretty soon I started noticing in my Etsy shop stats that a lot of my shop visitors were coming from Pinterest.
Not only had I put up a pin board with just my hand knitted items from my shop, I also pinned some of my knit wear items randomly various other boards that I have for women's accessories, and baby items. There isn't a day go by that I don't get repin notices that someone has repinned one or more of my items to their boards. This leads to others pinning, which is why I am seeing such a huge number of visits to my shop coming from Pinterest!
If you click on the photo above it will take you to my pinboards where you can follow me or any of my pinboards. I have all types of pinboards from Childhood Memories, to Recipes, to Amazing Handmade items I love, to The Coastal Home which has ideas for me on decorating my house with a beachy flavor. I also have several pinboards dedicated to knitting. I have a Knitting & Craft Tutorial pinboard, where I have pinned over 200 knitting, yarn and crochet tutorials, and which has over 1650 followers, a Knitzy's Fav Knitting Stuff pinboard, and other pinboards for yarn and patterns as well which are also heavily followed.
So if you haven't gotten hooked yet, be sure to stop on over to Pinterest and sign up to see all the fabulous ways you can use it. You'll be glad you did!!
