Living as close to the border of Mexico that we do, Cinco de Mayo is an event here! We always celebrate with fabulous Mexican food and Mango Margaritas. And my gift to you this year is to share my fabulous Mango Margarita recipe! So here goes:
1 1/4 ounces premium gold tequila (I like Quervo 1800 - but whatever you like works too)
1-ounce triple sec
1 1/2 ounces freshly squeezed lime juice
2 ounces simple syrup or sweet-and-sour mix
3/4 cup frozen mango, unsweetened (prefer individual quick frozen or fresh) - I get mine at Trader Joes!
Place all of the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Place in oversized Martini glass (that has been in the freezer) and garnish with lime. You can rim the glass with salt or sugar if you like.
