For any of you that are following the World Travels of Nifty Knits little Meerkats, Etta & Treasure, I have a very fun update. Etta has just just arrived at our house in San Diego for the Christmas Holiday! She seemed a little tired and jet lagged from her cross country trip from New York (visiting Kristen of GocksFrocks), but was excited to be in sunny Southern California. :o)
She was particularly excited to see our Christmas Tree decorations and other other holiday trimmings around the house, so we just let her explore a bit on her own. Etta had lots of fun climbing all over my Christmas tree checking out the ornaments. She is particularly enamored with my "sock monkey" ornament. I'm wondering if she thinks he is a odd looking Meerkat?
She liked the garland and Candy Canes on our fireplace mantle. I promised that we would make and hang a stocking for her so that Santa would be able to leave her some gifts! She thought the little TruLuxe acorns that I used to decorate the fireplace garland were very festive.
She checked out all our family pictures on the mantle and said that she thought our Grandson, Charlie is very cute. (We agree! )
Today, Etta and I are going to do some holiday cookie baking (cookies for Santa), and I promised her tonight that she could wear the lovely Tutu that Gock Frocks made her and watch "The Nutcraker" ballet with me on TV. And tomorrow, I think we are taking her to the beach!
We'll be back on Christmas day with more fun adventures of Etta the Meerkat. Hope you stop by for the update! :o)
